The fence of 1000 wheels that surrounds the former dairy barn turned artisan center is a must see attraction when you visit the beautiful Palouse farming region in southeastern Washington. Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that cultivates creativity by providing studio space for working artists, a venue for local performing and exhibiting artists, and creative experiences for children and adults through classes and workshops. There is no daily admission fee and the building is fully handicap accessible. Visitors are encouraged to engage the working artists to learn about what they do. The gift shop has fine art and fine crafts created locally as well as books and videos about the Palouse and specialty food items made from ingredients grown on the palouse.
