Finding a good auto shop is so important and I think I got lucky with University Place Certified Auto Service. One day I'm driving, the emission light goes on and my car starts sputtering. I'm thinking O2 sensors. I called and made an appt. Dropped my car off at 8am and picked it up at noon. Turns out it was coil and plugs. Now my car runs like it's on Viagra!
The shop was very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend them!

The first quote was about 400$ walked out of their paying almost 1100$ after taxes, as you can imagine I was very frustrated but bent at their will as he fully knew , they took advantage of me big time.They seemend like they did a good job on the work although didn't fix an oil leek after I mentioned I wanted that done. Car keeps leaking oil.

Lied to me, ruined my exhaust system; avoid at all costs. I came in to have the axle pipe on my car replaced a couple months ago. They were fast, friendly, and cheap, and I thought they had done the repair correctly... Until the weld broke. And then broke again. What they didn't tell me was that my particular car uses a clamp system for the exhaust, which would have only been a few bucks to replace the clamps - instead, they welded the axle pipe to both of my mufflers. The areas they welded around on my rear muffler is sheared through, due to what looks like sloppy welding, and I'm going to have to get everything south of the catalytic converter replaced. It seems an awful lot like these people either just don't care, or intentionally did a simple repair wrong so I would need to buy an entire new exhaust system from them because they "accidentally" wrecked my existing one.

TL;DR: Don't get your car fixed here. It's more trouble than it's worth.

Been going here since 1998, In that time we have brought 6 different vehicles to them our. I have referred many friends whom have had their cars worked on, and my children now take their vehicles to them for work. I have ALWAYS been pleased with their work. Their prices are INCREDIBLE in my experience usually at least 1/3 less than everywhere else, their timeliness is amazing, and no matter what degree of work I have had done from brake changes, radiators, and engine work, I have always come away a completely satisfied customer, and so have those I have referred. Affordable, Safe, Reliable, Timely best mom and pop business I have ever been to.

He did it to me a couple of times... gave me one price when he started the work and the invoice at the end was quite different. Nice to know it wasn't just me. They did crap work on both my car and my truck I wound up taking both vehicles somewhere else to correct issues. I would never ever recommend this business to someone I liked.

Their quote was not honored. When I went to pick up my car the repair cost was much higher even though they did no extra work to warrent the increased cost.

Bill over charged me and said oh well eveyone's doing it. That's the cost of running a business. The work was not completed by the time given.

After getting an outragous estimate for brakes from Firestone in Lakewood, I got a second opinion from UP R&M. Boy, I'm glad I did! If you want fast, honest service, go see Bill & Joyce!!!
