Took advantage of my wife.
I work long hours mon-Fri and I have my wife run my errands. Wife took car in for transmission leak which was under warranty but mechanic decided to do a sensor replacement job without our approval even after we had refused the job. We go pick up the car and they refuse us the keys because we need to pay for a sensor replacement job. Close to $300. Car has been there for almost 3 weeks and I'm riding around on my bike and uber. I have spend more that $5,000 here and have been a long time customer but today I realized I was just $ to them. Their parking lot has now turned into a graveyard of unfinished cars. These mechanics are the ones that make it hard to trust mechanics.

Horrible work, still not right, still leaking transmission fluid, overcharged, cut corners, these guys are scam artist, do not go here, typical backyard mechanics I would add pics but no where to add them.

Transmission failed on 2005 Ford Expedition. Read the reviews on the local transmission shops, AAMCO of Upland had the most positive reviews.

Job was done right, no need for return visit. Great staff.

trustworthy mechanics saved me money

The first time i took my car in for brakes Sal the trustworthy manager, told me my rear brakes were still good, and I only need the front. HE WAS HONEST AND LOOKED OUT FOR MY INTEREST, which is how much i have to spend. I take my car only here now, because i know they won't try to sell me more then what i need. When i took my car for front brakes, Sal told me they just needed to re-surfaced and they still can go for 30,000 miles. He re-surfaced them for free and did it in a timely fashion. HERE I HAVE THE PEACE OF MIND THAT ITS DONE RIGHT by good hard working people.

Just like you and I who know times are tough and we don't have a lot to spend, and every penny saved helps me.

Thanks AAMCO Manager Sal

Good News and Fast Service Back To Back

In December 2010 I had concerns with both of my family cars.I stopped by AAmco in Upland with my Geo Metro's clutch slipping.Sal went for a test ride with me and determined a clutch cable adjustment would help the problem. After a small fee and a quick adjustment I was on my way. Then I took in my wife's P.T. Cruiser with an unknown engine or trans noise and problem.Sal again went for a test ride with me and Manny found a engine-mount bolt had come loose. He immediately tightened it and then discovered another broken engine-mount.I later returned and dropped off the car which they repaired at a very fair price after finding a third broken engine-mount.Several other trans and auto -repair shops had failed to find the problem.Sal was really helpful and got my wife and I on the road with a minimum of cost and delay.

AAMCO Transmission completely rebuilt my transmission and took care of some other work [replaced engine rear main seal] that was necessary while the transmission was removed.

I am extremely pleased with the work AAMCO did for me. My gas mileage has improved significantly - about a 20% increase. My Thunderbird is now a pleasure to drive . I have just returned from Atlanta, Georgia. The transmission performed flawlessly. And there are no more oil leaks. Thank you AAMCO!

Fantastic Service!! Fantastic Price!!

I called Sal at AAMCO for a price quote since the dealer wanted almost $4000 to fix my transmission. Sal said he would be happy to double check to see what was wrong for FREE. The dealer charged me $125 to tell me I needed to spend $4000 more and AAMCO checked it for free. Turns out my transmission could be repaired and didn't need to be replaced like the dealer wanted to do. They repaired it plus updated it to the latest specs and gave me a Nationwide warranty that was longer than the dealer. All and all I am extremely pleased with the service and especially the price. They saved me a lot of money!!

If you need your car repaired, I suggest AAMCO of Upland and ask for Sal. They are my mechanic for life! No more high price dealership work for me!

Terrible customer service

I called the store to check on prices. After we discussed the pricing I said I would be right down. He said that his bay was full and to come down in about 20 minutes. I said I will be there at 12:00 PM which was 30 minutes. He said thats great. I drove down there and a employee asked me if he could help me. I told him I was the one that called about my Camaro. He said someone would be with me in a couple minutes. In about 3 minutes another employee came out and he said he saw me drive up. So as we walked out to my car, I began to explain what my problem was. Which is the transmission was leaking when it gets hot. I could tell immediately that his interest drained away. He then said could I leave the car. I asked he had somebody to drive me home. I live like 1 mile away. He said he didn't have a driver right now and if I could bring it back. I asked him, so why did you want me to come in 30 minutes? He didn't have an answer. At this point I could tell he just wanted to get rid of me. He asked me if I could bring it back tomorrow. I asked will you be able to drive me home? He said he could not and began to walk away from me. I said to him, what a waste of time. He did not respond and just kept walking.

The moral of the story is, if he was too busy then he should have told me. Once I told him my problem he seemed disinterested in helping me, knowing it was probably minor. I also wanted to get my brakes checked but we never got to that part. Anyway, I was disrespected and ignored. I DO NOT recommend this location for service.

I am so very sorry you were not treated well at my center. I remember you and your black 1978 Camaro with red stripes when you came in. We take our customer service very serious and are constantly rated as one of the best AAMCO's in the country. However this day we slipped. Just prior to your arrival we found out one of our employees brother had drowned. We were trying to help with that situation and help customers such as you at the same time. Obviously we didn't do a very good job. You are the most important part of our business and I once again apologize. I hope that you may be able to give us another try because this day was not our normal way of doing business. We are a very busy shop and that is because we try to take care of ALL our customers ALL the time and have one of the highest repeat customer referral percentages within the industry. Once again, we are truly sorry. Mike & The Entire Staff at AAMCO of Upland
