I LOVE this place. It's a small store with a huge heart! I've dropped in, oh, maybe 12 times or so over the last 6 or so years. I wish I could go more often. Irene, the owner, is such a lovely person and cares deeply about the needs of her customers. They offer lots of supplies for a variety of crafts, and a hang-out/workspace where you can go and get help from others. I wish I worked or lived in Upland- I'd be at Garden of Beadin every weekend!

This is unfortunate but I have been a customer for many years and always been treated as a wonderful guest. There are number of reasons a special order could not be accommodated within a week. That is not bad customer service just honest. You will not find a better small business that is friendly, overly helpful with instructions, tutorials, and overall groovyness.

I called Garden of Beaden a few weeks ago to orders some product...I was told very good things about the business so I was excited to work with them. However when i called i was very disappointed with the service and communication. I didn't give up I emailed a short description of my business and needs.I expressed how I like to support small business. My email was responded to. I was told I wouldn't get any answers on product for a week. I couldn't wait a week so i had to go else where. I was disappointed and told the business so in a very respectful honest way. I said I was disappointed by the lack of customer service and I would be taking my business else where.

...The owner wrote me back a very ABUSIVE email ..."I prefer people like you stay as far away from our family run business as possible. I hope you find your beads else where and then search for your heart and brain?..Good Luck"...

I wrote back respectfully and no sooner did i send the email but 2 second later HOME PHONE rang and the Owner of GARDEN OF BEADEN in Upland Ca was YELLING at me ...telling me " I needed to apologize to her"..."what kind of mean person am I...she had surgery and had a lot going on ...do you think you are my only priority"..."I've checked you outdo are starting your business off all wrong...why don't you try being nice"..."say sorry to me"....this continued for 4 mins and 38 seconds!!!....I am so shaken up and sad I don't know what to do....

..later the problems kept up on facebook...The owner posted all of our emails on his personal page along with all of my personal information and encouraged customers and friends of the store to leave the most horrible comments about a perfect stranger...The owner then continued by attacking some of my "friends" who left comments of support..The only reason it stopped was because I offered up the apology the bullied out of me.



I am sad and horrified to say the least...no one should be treated this way please beware!!!
