I recently entered the Blue Lakes Trout Tournament run by The Narrows Lodge Resort in Lake County. They gave away prizes on Saturday and Sunday. Prizes included the Biggest Fish and Most Combined Weight. I was happy to know that my fish of 16 7/8 inch was the largest fish caught on Saturday. To my surprise the director announced that the largest fish was only 16 1/8 inch.



On the director’s score sheet it showed that my fish was the largest caught on Sat-urday. I went and spoke to the director about the error and was told that it was “too bad”. Right behind me were two fellow fishermen who were also cheated out of their prizes. It is discouraging to know that they had a 75% error rate for these prizes. To compound the fact, I was that we were told to “get out and don’t come back”.



Does the Upper Lake Fire Protection District and the Lake County Community Projects really want to be represented by such narrow minded individuals? Con-sidering the price of gas and lodging fees, I for one will spend my money else-where.
