The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is responsible to promote, plan and facilitate improved health, safety, welfare, education and economic conditions for the residents of the Champaign County in Illinois. Also known as CCRPC, the agency s School-To-Work Transition Program is a community service program for middle and high school students. Founded in 1966, its family and community development program provides case management services to low-income families with the risk of long-term welfare dependency. CCRPC offers the Individual Development Accounts Program, as well as the Family Housing Preservation Program of the Department of Children and Family Services. The agency s community development program features economic development loan and housing rehabilitation assistance for low-income homeowners. It receives funding for social services from the Department of Children and Family Services, Illinois Department of Human Services and Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
