Wonderful care

My dog has been diagnosed with cancer. I have received support care and compassion from Dr. Norrell and her staff, I highly recommend Good Friends Animal Hospital and Dr. Norrell to any one who loves their pet. Cheryl

I took my cat Simba there, since my regular vet clinic could not diagnose his high temperature. I was very impressed by dr. Kandi Norrell's knowledge, and she turned a very sick cat around in 48 hours. I would highly recommend this intelligent, kind vet.

Stay Away!

After trying this vet three times, I recommend taking your business elsewhere. Being new to the area, I decided to try this vet when my cat rapidly developed a clogged anal gland. It was obvious that she was in pain, and after realizing that this clinic was just down the street from me and had an immediate opening, I decided to try it. I did not have any problems with the support staff, but the owner, Dr. Cole, really rubbed me the wrong way. I have taken my cat to the vet for her whole life, but being new to the area, I had not had a chance to transfer her records to a new vet. Dr. Cole was not only rude when I tried to explain this to her, but she actually accused me of lying about having a regular vet in another town. At one point during the exam, she asked me what I thought the problem was after asking questions like do you let her outside alone, do you have other cats she could have caught this from, are you doing anything different with her at home, do you clean her litter box, is she on a new food, is she behind on her shots, etc. When I responded that I thought she might possibly have a clogged anal gland, she rudely asked me why I didn't just tell her that to start with. In my opinion, part of a vet's job is to comfort the owner as well when their pet is sick. All I received from Dr. Cole was judgement and rudeness. The second time I took my cat there for another suspected clogged anal glad, she continued with the accusations stating that I must be doing something at home to cause these infections to return. She also refused to treat my cat until I could prove that she was up to date on her rabies shot, had to put my cat under to do a simple blood draw, and suggested I try acupuncture when I requested an allergy shot for my cat who has a history of springtime allergies. The kicker is when I finally got fed up and decided to go elsewhere, I called the clinic to have my pet's records transferred to another local clinic. Dr. Cole answered the phone, and she was just as rude on the phone as she had been in person. I mentioned that I had an appointment at the new vet two days later at four pm asking if it would be possible for the records to be faxed by that time, and she said, we'll see what we can do. As I hung up, I had a feeling that nothing would come of my request, and I was right. Two days later, I visited the new clinic to find that they had not received any records from Good Friends Animal Hospital. Based on their unprofessionalism and the uncaring attitude of the owner, I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. I however have nothing but good things to say about A + E Animal Hospital, our new vet!

Caring Doctors & Staff

Some people's perception of reality is warped! Good Friends Animal Hospital has the sweetest staff! The doctors are very knowledgeable and you can tell your pet isn't just another dog or cat to them. It is refreshing and gives me peace of mind to take my pets to a place where I know they genuinely LOVE what they do. The staff is very helpful in getting me the best deal on Heartworm preventative and Flea & Tick preventative. You can tell they care about educating you on the best products out there. I would highly recommend this Vet!

Do not give these quacks your money

Horrible customer service. Non-caring veterinarians and staff. Would not take a dead animal there for treatment. Please choose someone else to care for your animals as there is no "care" here.

Can't recommend this vet

I had a very bad experience at this vet clinic. I found the support staff fine, but the quality of care by the vet was just terrible. Really uncaring, poor customer service by both the vets and frankly, vet care bordering on incompetent. Find another vet, you will be doing yourself and your animal a service.

GREAT Staff!

Completely disagree with rude support staff! I have an extremely energetic 5 mo. boxer/pit mix who always seems to get the "excited tinkles," and throw her uncoordinated self all over everyone. Not only are they more than happy to help out with her, they look up price comps for me on her flea/heartworm meds, as I'm a poor college student looking for a deal, and are great with any other questions I may have. Dr. Isabel is wonderful as well! Haven't met the other vet there , but we love her! Also, after looking into prices around town (not to sound like I was vet shopping for the cheapest, but there are definitely some overpriced places in C-U), Good Friends has very average prices! My dog got her rabies vax plus registration, 2nd round of DPT T, heartworm/flea meds, nail clipping, and a check up all for under $100, which you can't beat in the area! Would recommend them!

rude staff

Unprofessional staff and rude assistants. I love the drs at this clinic but the support staff is rude. One of the assistants is abrasive snobby and just plain mean. The lead technician is knowledgeable and efficiant. I hope in the future they are able to weed out the other ones. I will not be going back. Too bad but when your support staff costs you clients something should change.
