Leal Elementary School provides education to students in grades kindergarten through five. The school has a wide academic curriculum that includes mathematics, social studies, science, language arts and English. It also provides classes in reading, spelling and writing skills. The school is affiliated with the Urban School District 116 and is located in Urbana, Ill. Leal Elementary School Library Media Center houses a collection of over 17,000 books and learning resources, including fiction and nonfiction books, picture dictionaries, storybooks and puzzles. The school has a parent-teacher association that offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for parents, teachers and students. Its facilities include playground, cafeteria and computer lab.
