We have lived at Amber Pointe since February of this year. We have only had 1 maintenance request and when we called for maintenance, they came over within the hour to fix our problem! We love the apartments; it is very quiet out here and we love to take advantage of the gym, tanning bed and pool as well. Julie, the property manager is probably one of the best managers we have ever dealt with. We recommend this property to anyone!

We have lived in two different buildings here at Amber, first at a one bedroom then a two bedroom. We've been here five years. Love it. Staff are great. They do a great job at snow removal (especailly early in the day when folks need to get out to work).

I thoroughly enjoy the beautiful quiet setting at Amber Pointe. I find it relaxing to sit on the balcony and look out into the wilderness. I feel really safe here and would certainly renew the lease and recommend this place to everyone--though, selfishly, I would recommend the place to no one to keep all of the great neighbors already here and to keep the tight community feel... Any time I have had a problem the staff promptly take care of it and follow up immediately afterward to check satisfaction. The facilities remain well kept and all of the staff I have met are very helpful. I love this place. price is a bit high but it is a campus town so it is to be expected, plus the peace of mind and security are worth the few extra bucks.

I lived at Amber Pointe for a year and was very happy with my experience. The office staff is very friendly and professional, and I never had a complaint about my neighbors. The kitchen was spacious and clean with a great oven and refrigerator. The dishwasher didn't always get the job done, though. Each room was homey and large enough to feel like I could spread things out. The heating/air conditioning system worked superbly. The carpet was very comfortable as well. There was always plenty of parking available for guests. The buses stop right outside the complex for those without cars. Meijer is also at a convenient walking distance. I was extremely satisfied with Amber Pointe, especially considering how inexpensive it is compared to how nice it is. I would definitely live here again if I were still in Illinois.

Out of all of the apartment complexes I have lived in, including my current one (dated August 2009), this has been one of the best. It's tucked out of the way from busy streets. They were finishing construction on some parts when I lived there, but otherwise the area (and apartment) were very quiet. There were a few college kids in the complex, but they never caused problems. The layout was excellent; in the spring and fall I had all the windows open, and got a great breeze through the apartment. Parking isn't only adequate, it's ample. Also, we had some sudden life issues come up, and management was more than willing to make our sudden transition from the apartment pleasant and easy. We were able to speak to the manager "adult to adult", instead of "tenant to landlord". My only gripe: mailboxes are located a distance away from the buildings. This wasn't a big problem, though, as they are at a perfect height to drive up and get mail before going home.

After I got my degree, fifteen years ago, I went back to my country with my family. Last year I came back with my wife to live in Urbana for one year as a visiting scholar at U of I. Finding a place to live was a stressful experience, and the ratings we used to read at the internet always scared us. But we finally found a good place at the Amber Pointe complex. The apartment was good, new appliances, located less than twenty minutes from campus, with bus service and stop close to the complex, and within a walking distance from Meijer, which was kind of convenient. Not less important: very silent place. We never had any problem with noise for the whole year. The staff and the maintenance people were friendly, polite and always willing to help. If one day we return to town there will not be another place to live but at the Amber Pointe complex.

My husband and I lived here for a year and really enjoyed it. In a community full of apartments, Amber Pointe is among the best. The apartments are very nice and spacious, the area itself is well maintained and we had zero problems with neighbors and/or noise. On top of that, the office staff is nice and helpful. I would recommend this highly. There are many place to live in Champaign-Urbana, but if you are looking for a nice apartment that you'll actually enjoy coming home to, this is it.

I've been here for almost two years and it's a great place to live. Very quiet - I barely ever hear my neighbors and the neighborhood itself is silent at night. Great price for the size. The management is friendly and the maintenance staff is quick to respond.

I lived at Amber Pointe Apartments for 4 years and I cannot even begin to describe how pleasant of a place it was to live in. Though it has easy access to the main roads (i.e.-Philo and Windsor) as well as Meijer, the complex is set back some, giving it a nice removed atmosphere. The office and maintenance are friendly, responsible, and lightening fast in addressing any issues. The complex itself is very quiet and safe and well spread out so it never feels like you are on top of one another. The complex has several garages available as well. Overall, I definitely recommend Amber Pointe. Compared to other rental prices in Champaign-Urbana, it definitely is one of the better bangs for your buck.
