Established in 1890, Rescue Mission of Utica is a Christian ministry that provides services for underprivileged families and disabled individuals. It has a more than 25-bed facility of Addictions Crisis Center that is certified by the New York State. The center provides treatment for individuals addicted to alcohol and other drugs. Its services include nourishment, medical attention, counseling, assessment, and evaluation and referrals. Rescue Mission of Utica provides emergency shelter, meals and clothing for underprivileged families. Additionally, it provides academic and job skills training in areas, such as computer literacy, business math and reading skills. Rescue Mission of Utica also organizes Representative-Payee program for seniors and it is located in Utica, N.Y.
