My daughter as a high school senior was recruited to work as a counselor. Information provided was just what the campers receive. No nurse or health care person was on the premises from June 12 thru the 17th, she was on vacation. 5 staff counselors were not 21 but 18 years of age including my daughter. They should be CPR certified and trained in first aid. None of the 5 counselors including my daughter were. There were only 3 people working that were 21 years old, a maintenance worker (camp ranger) and 1 older lady(mama bear). My daughter who has no training in the water was sent out with a group of girl scouts, there canoe almost jumped the concrete barricades and would have gone into the rapids. A major accident was averted. There was a poisonous snake by the story book tree yet my daughter was not warned and took 2 girl scouts to that area. Contracts that counselors signed were falsified t show that the were hired for jobs other than the counselors that they were hired as.
