Anthon Elementary School is affiliated with the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District. The school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to more than 500 students in grades one through four. Founded in 1965, it offers a variety of programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Anthon Elementary School also provides reading, writing, spelling, computer education, special education, resource, functional living skills, and hearing impairment and emotional disorders programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
