Operational for more than 40 years, Hemlock Elementary school provides learning experiences for more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. It assists in the development of self-esteem and life skills. The school specializes in the fulfillment of emotional and social needs of students. It serves a selection of lunch items. Hemlock Elementary school organizes several meetings, school activities and community events. It offers an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide reading practices and help students in improving reading abilities. The school has a parent-teacher association that works for the overall development of the school. Hemlock Elementary school is a part of the Vacaville Unified School District, which serves more than 15,000 students.
