What can I say except that this is the place to take your vehicle for transmission work. Read my other reviews and you'll see I always come back Jim Dandy. We have 3 vehicles and all have been here. BTW, 2 of the 3 have over 360,000 miles on them. They rebuilt my truck's transmission 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Fantastic service! Just took my 1999 Lexus in to be serviced. The guys there were very honest and trustworthy. They didn't charge me to diagnose my baby while another auto repair center wanted to charge me to look at it. They told me that it didn't need any major service and only charged me for the fluid that my car needed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Very...very friendly atmosphere. I won't hesitate to do business with them again!

Been to them twice and very pleased with the service. Price was good, and the job was done on time. They make you feel like they are doing the work for a friend.

I was a new driver in a used car with a transmission problem. I was told by some I would need a complete transmission to get it fixed. My husband is military and could not handle this problem as he is out of the country. After calling around I took my toyota to Jim Dandy Transmission. Roger and Tim were so great, they shuttled be home 2 times. They gave me military discount and I didn't even ask for one. They fixed my transmission s I didn't have to buy a new one. They saved me over 500 dollars. ALL you women who are in my position can go to jim dandy transmission and not worry about being taken. Thanks, to all of you at the shop!!

I had my chevy fixed there in November, it was pretty cheap, took 3 days and had me down the road. I have used this shop exclusively for years and think the service is great, my husband can send me down there and they can explain things to me. I think they care about my safety very much. (tell me about other stuff that is wearing out) I will always use this shop.

They rebuilt the transmission on my 1992 ford f-250 it took them 3 times to get it right each time I picked up my truck something did not work first time the transmission would not down shift the second time it would slam into gear going around corner from stop the 3rd time it would not shift now 21 months later it will not move my truck the rebuilt transmission lasted 9771 miles went down to store was told manger would call still waiting 11:40 5-15-17 cost so far 2850.00$ UPDATE Rodger sent a tow truck to get my truck and repaired the transmission in TWO days at NO CHARGE picked up truck at 3:00 pm today and it shifts better than it ever did THANK YOU Rodger !!!!!

Great staff and my duster was in and out much faster then I expected, plus it was the best price in town. I would recommend it to anyone. I will trust them with any vehicle

These guys fixed my Eclipse after it started smoking one day. Apparently the transmission line had a hole in it (i'm not very car knowledgeable, so don't judge me by that). These guys were so nice. They saw to my car the very next day and gave us a call as soon as they knew what was wrong with it. My car was fixed by the end of the day. When I came to pick up my car, they went out of their way to be nice to me. The owner (I assume) showed us the line that was messed up. He let us know that if he can be of assistance to us in the future he will be glad to help (the eclipse was doomed for failure basically). I had let them know I had been burned by a car place in Arkansas that messed up the radiator, and since have had countless issues. The man who checked me out (can't remember his name) was such a nice guy. He said if I have anything wrong with the car, even if a bug hits my windshield (lol) , to bring it back in and they would see to it. They didn't want me to be burned for life by that one car place. Anyway point of the story, they are the nicest guys and don't over charge you. I got a service fee for what I would have gotten back home in Arkansas, which is rare to come across here in the over priced state of california. Good value, timely, awesome people.

On a road trip to the sierra's we got a check engine light flashing... the local dealerships and big name auto shops wanted us to "take a number" and leave the car all day. We had no idea if this was a minor glitch or major problem. Jim Dandy Transmission quickly connected the device to find the computer code, got us underway in just a few minutes and then wouldn't even take the diagnostic fee. We confirmed his opinion with our local mechanic at home and we are back on the road! Friendly and honest and all-around nice guy!

Roger not only took care of my husbands truck, but also did a great job fixing my car. They are nice, friendly, have your car finished when they say they will and much cheaper than other places. Thanks Roger for taking such great care of us :)

This place is great! I went there to have my transmission fluid changed and they have the best price around by far. Half the price I was quoted by several other places. They had friendly and quirky service and no inkling whatsoever of trying to rip anyone off. I'll be back!

My car wouldn't go in the gears, and both my sons recommending Jim Dandy Transmission , I limped my car to them late in the day, accomodating my schedule as best as they can. The next evening JD called saying the transmission is OK, & to take it to a mechanic. Being a single, I could have easily been ripped off. Instead this business operates with integrity and and great customer service. If I need transmission work in the future this is where I will go. Highly recommend.

I took my 2003 Explorer there after a trip to the mountains when the transmission kept shuddering as it tried shift, shaking the whole car. It had actually been doing this for a year occasionally around town, but this was too much. I explained the problem to them, they took all day to examine it and then told me it would cost $1600-2400 to repair depending on what they found when they tore it apart. I was not surprised because it was a 10 year old car with about 121,000 miles on it. Well, $2387 later, I got the car back and it was still chunking hard into 4th gear around town. I took it back and they could find nothing. Needless to say I was not happy at this point. So, I took it back again and this time they replaced something called a "solenoid body". I expected another hefty repair bill, but they told me there was no charge even though I am sure that the part cost them money and it took 2-3 hours of technician time. That was more than fair treatment. It would have been nice to have it work the first time, but they did stick to it and solved the problem and did not charge me for the further work, so they honored their word. I think that is important. Results count more than anything. So, I will be recommending them whenever I get the chance.

I have to say hands down i got the best bang for my $ and the most genuine experience with them. I was greeted with a smile right away by the front office girl. She took my cars info and put her mechanics to the task right away. She also spoke highly of her shop mechanics. After sitting in the waiting room where I was greeted by the owner I recieved the update I thought might be taking place. My transmission was failing. I set up a time to have it repaired and got my car back within that week. I will always take my vehicles here. They came highly reccomended by friends and I would highly reccomend them to anyone . My last experience with them I was told that I was a Jim Dandy family member bring my car back with any issues and they would check it out. Im so comfortable with them and happy to have had the experience.

Jim Dandy was the best. I called after we found a puddle under the car. It was still under a warranty from prior work. They picked up the car right away. No delay no questions. After a few days Roger called and said car was fixed. They worked fast and were complete in getting the car back to us fast. Thank you

This review is a little overdue but better late than never. I have a 2014 dodge Cummins with a 68rfe. I called around to numerous transmission shops and all said they did not have enough knowledge or that they were too busy. I called Roger at Jim dandy and he brought in that night to diagnose my truck. This guy definitely knows transmissions and he's very friendly. After months of trying to get my truck figured out, this guy had it fixed in less than a week. Awesome place, will definitely recommend and come back for any future transmission service!

I went here for some car noises during a busy afternoon last week. An older gentleman greeted me and was eager to help me.We were driving around the block in all but a few minutes. From there he gave me a rough diagnosis, told me there wasn't much wrong with my transmission and then told me some other things to work on in my leisure that would improve vehicle performance. He even topped off my water and fluids and didn't ask for anything in return.I still gave him a bit of a tip for lunch,but I really don't recall the last time I ran into a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. I almost want something to go wrong just so I can give them business.Not really,but I am a fan and will keep them in mind should anyone ever ask about service.

I recently had my trucks transmission repaired here and was blown away by the incredible customer service! They went above and beyond to get me back on the road very quickly! I cant wait to bring another vehicle to them when its time for some service! I highly recommend this shop and will not go anywhere else from here on out! Thanks again everybody there at Jim Dandy's

As a single woman, I'm wary of car repair shops, but I will tell you that this is a great place. It was tough to figure out what the heck was wrong with my car, but they kept at it until they got it fixed. They are honest and won't rip you off. Highly recommended!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The entire staff is super friendly and willing to accommodate. I work the same hours a lot of shops are open which could have made it difficult to get my truck fixed. But Tim and owner Rodger were willing to stay after hours to run diagnostics for me. After figuring out the issue they were able to order the part at a great price. They even stayed late the next night to fix it. I would recommend this shop for any transmission needs
