Murillo's Mexican Food

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service is fast and you get tasty food at a reasonable price.

I went to the 'newer' Murillo's on Monte Vista. The service was lackluster, as was the food. I had a tamale plate, and although the tamale masa was very good, better than most I've tried, the meat filling was dry and tough, and unidentifiable! The beans were very watery, and the rice was just average. Since most Mexican restaurants serve complimentary chips and salsa, I was really put off by Murillo's charging extra for theirs. I also thought they are a bit overpriced. I doubt I will ever return.

Good food but the owner needs to fire her son

. . . alas that was long ago before the original owner sold and i heard moved to Mexico.

I love the food here. Everything I've eaten has been great. Sometimes you wait a little longer for service but it's a family atmoshere.
