These ppl are now going by Tap broidband. Do NOT go with these people. They are the worst business I have dealt with. First they told us they don't service our area but the last person who rented here had them and when we told them that they said oh OK yeah we do service that area. Then they scheduled a tech to come out between 1-5 on a Friday. The guy didn't show up until 8pm. The tech told us all about his drug addictions and ran the line from outside in through our kitchen door as a "temporary" fix. Which meant we couldn't use our kitchen door until he came back. He "finished" his work at about 10:30pm after half drilling a hole in our wall and leaving it. He said he would be back on Monday and to call his personal cell phone. On Monday we called him to make sure he was coming and he told us "yeah but it could be midnight before he got around to us" we called in to the company and explained what was going on and said we did not want him back out. At 7:40pm he shows up outside our house and starts cutting lines before we can stop him. He stayed until 9:00pm. Our internet magically stopped working while he was here and he called in to the company, which is when the rep told him to step outside and explained that we had complained about him. He didn't say two more words to us after that, just walked in and out of our house as if he owned the place and eventually got in his truck (again without saying a word) and left. We called the company the next morning and continuously got told that our internet would not be fixed until Friday and placed the blame on us for all of this BC we called the techs personal phone. They now refuse to answer to my phone number and claim a supervisor will be in touch by the end of the day...I can't explain how ridiculous and stressful all of this has been. Everyone at the call center is rude and will talk over you and blame you for everything. The internet is great but I can't say enough about how horrible these people act towards customers. Go with anyone but these people.

I was in need of internet service for my house, I called Altitude and they informed me they had to perform a site survey and that it would take 24 to 48 hours to get the results. I called them back two days later and they informed me that they did service our area. I set up an account and scheduled a time for them to come and set up my service the following morning. the next morning I receive a call from the tech saying that he could come now and set it up, I informed him to call my wife to ensure she was home. My wife calls me and tells me the tech said he wasn't coming until after lunch even though I scheduled an appointment between 8 and 12. Not long after 12 my wife receives a call from the tech, the tech informs my wife that they do not service my area. I call the main office and the response I received was "we don't know why we said we serviced your area".

Okay, first of all I wanna say I know that this is a "homegrown" company and I can appreciate that... BUT... This is honestly the worst internet provider I have ever had and I've had satellite internet.. It's not even the internet itself, it's the company and the people you have to talk to. When I first got this internet in August of 2014 we set up an automatic withdrawal, which by the way, requires you to send a piece of paper with your credit card information on it in the mail to a PO box in North Carolina. Anyways, we set up the automatic withdrawal and within the last 9 months that we’ve had it set up it’s gotten automatically withdrawn maybe three times. Instead of them automatically withdrawing the money, they just keep adding up the “past due” balances which then requires you to call them EVERY month when you get that bill in the mail and have them explain how it’s possible you owe them hundreds of dollars when you expected it to come out automatically. In the wise words of Dane Cook, this company is a “cluster****”. No other words can explain it. Everyone I have talked to was very nice, they just don’t seem to know their own company or how to fix any problems.



On to the internet service, our internet has gone out 2 times (once for an entire week) without warning. The first time we called them about it they had no clue about any problems. The second time was because they hadn’t withdrawn our payment for THREE MONTHS thus causing them to have it shut off and they expected us to pay a reconnect fee when it was their fault to begin with. There are also some days where the internet will just not work or load pages for hours at a time.



I will also say that if you wanna save money go ahead and go with the lowest internet speed possible cause that's all you're gonna get anyway.



This company could be a really great thing if they educated their employees and worked to fix some of the problems instead of just brushing them aside. Unfortunately until then they will continue getting junk reviews!

I have been a customer (Prisoner) of this company for over a year. I live in a subdivision located ON Bemis Hwy, half way between Moody AFB & Valdosta Ga. NOT IN THE "BACKWOODS". I was promised 15Mbps and that is the service I have paid for each month for over a year !! I get 3Mbps on a GOOD DAY. (I run SpeedTest.net by OOkla everyday.) I did see 14Mbps once at 2Am when I got off work late one night. I complained so much that now they refuse to answer any calls I make from my listed numbers. I HAVE TO CALL THEM FROM OTHER PEOPLES PHONES JUST TO GET THEM TO PICK UP THE CALL!!! They even tried to blame the slow connection on the underground cable lines and DUG UP THE UNDERGROUND SERVICE LINE WITH A BACKHOE IN MY FRONT YARD, CUT THE LINE IN HALF, CLAIMED IT WAS "BAD" LEFT IT STICKING UP OUT OF THE GROUND, REFUSED TO FILL THE HOLE AND REFUSED TO FIX THE CABLE....THIS WAS 9 MONTHS AGO!!! They did dump some dirt in the hole after we threatened an injury lawsuit after a child fell in the hole. They never fixed the cables. They are still sticking up in the air and we have been told there was nothing wrong with them in the first place! Somebody should shut this company down! NOW!

worthless! never get any channels and then when you call you will be put on hold for 3 hours and 6 minutes...and im still holding. if they answer this phone, i will tell them what they can do with there cable and company!! this is crazy! 3 hours for customer service??!! They need to close down!!

Altitude Communications is the worse company to even try to attempt to do business with. You never get what you pay for from them. If they are your only cable or internet provider it not worth it even trying with them. Go with pone internet(at&t or satellite internet) for tv go direct tv or dish. I paid for them to set up internet Sep 2013 and I paid them to buried a cable the guy that set it up said he didn’t have the equipment on his truck and he would be back within the week to bury. Called back after 2 weeks said their equipments broke and wont be able to do it for a month, every month from Sep 2013 to July 2014 I called to find out what was going on my family and friends tripped over this cable many times had to move the cable every time I had to mow the grass I paid to have this cable buried and they never did and didn’t care to. In March 2014 the service for the internet started going down hill even more before that I was at least getting the internet speeds I was paying for 11mb up 2mb down Ping under 60mbps. In March my internet keeped getting messed up from DC to really low speeds (.2kbps) to out ragegis ping speeds in the 600mb witch your ping is the lag between the server and your modem witch higher the number the more lag you have for streaming and gaming u need under 50mbps Ping. I called from March to middle of July 2014 complaining about this they set up 3 time for someone to come out to my house to take a look at it. Every time I took OFF OF WORK TO MEET THEM. About 20mins before they should have been their they canceled and said they knew what the problem was and it was on their end and would have it fixed with in a couple days each time they said that nothing got done still the same problems. I finally canceled the service in the middle of July the billing cycles run from the 8th to the7th you pay for the service one month ahead for this service so I was confused when I got a bill in Aug. I called them and they said my cancelation has not gone through the billing yet and I didn’t have a bill to just throw it away. Well in Sep I got another bill for Aug with late fees and Sep and I called up again to ask what was going on they said they’re having issues with their billing depart mean and everything was handled just like the time before. I called 2 weeks after that to make sure everything was handled and they said it was. Well Oct comes up and I get another bill now I have a Oct bill with Aug with late fees Sep with late fees and one for Oct. and I call up to see what the hells going on and they say they have it all fix and all I have is a bill for 2 weeks in AUG and late fees too for that month and they didn’t care that I canceled it in the middle of July they said the charge till they can get out their to cut it off and they were under staffed at the time and took a month to cut it off. I told the them that that had nothing to do with me but they didn’t care. When I pick up the 150 cable in my yard in July when I canceled my service with them I found out that the cable was chewed up from running it over in my drive way for almost a year with 3 cars twice a day and if they would have buried the line in the first place witch I paid upfront for them to do I would have not had problems or if they would have came out for the service calls I set up that they waited for the last min to cancel they could have fixed it.
