The Alfred Mann Foundation is a nonprofit medical research organization that works for the exploration and development of medical technologies to improve the health, security and quality of life for people who suffer from debilitating medical conditions. The foundation focuses on implantable neurostimulator systems that could be used to improve the lives and health of patients with a variety of conditions and ailments, including stroke and spinal cord injuries, migraines, epilepsy and obesity. It is working on a project to develop a magnetically controlled and powered injectable neuromuscular stimulation device for impaired neural and muscular functions. The Alfred Mann Foundation also organizes events to raise funds for the treatment of diabetes and neural and muscular disorders.
