We are a husband and wife team. We were both born in Indiana, and we met in Chicago at Northwestern University. Dr. Allen moved from Terre Haute, IN to La Canada, CA when he was 10 years old, and Dr. Kelly grew up on a farm in Valparaiso, IN. It was not until we were at our wedding reception on Dr. Kelly's farm in Indiana that we realized that both of our fathers had a mutual roommate while at Indiana University Dental School, and all were reunited at our wedding. We both come from a long line of dentists in the family. Dr. Allen's father and several family members are dentists, and Dr. Kelly is a fourth generation dentist.

I'm one of those people who like getting their teeth cleaned, and the staff at Drs. Smudde always do a great job. They're not only friendly and helpful, but I like the fact that they don't push unnecessary services. Thanks!
