I am a mother of 12 children. I stumbled upon Dr ruiz many years into raising my children. I am utterly amazed at how thorough she is. I can't tell you how many times I had to be referred to an ENT in order to get my child's ears cleaned! This office is beautiful, comfortable, clean and although you have to wait sometimes it is well worth it. I've learned over the years if you come prepared to your appointment with the questions you want answered you will find she will answer every one of them. Mygrandchild had been seeing for 5 years by other physicians and on the first visit she found I heart murmur that needed attention. Another friend of mine has a child suffering with ADHD for years and with anyone visit she searched for nutritional answers and found a vitamin deficiency that she is now starting to treat him with. He is a different child! Who would have thought a pediatrician would be like a detective for your child's health? I brought my grandchild in one day with an I injury and within an hour she had into a specialist office that normally takes two months to get into.



if you have a child who has special needs then you need a special dr. Doctors aren't meant to be your personal friend they're meant to be someone who will seek the answers you need to keep your precious one healthy. I am so thankful to God for sending Dr sonia in my direction. For anyone who writes negatively they aren't complaining about the medical care. They're complaining about their a

inability to understand if you want quality time spent with you then you need to allow quality time to be spent with others. Waiting is part of the trade off. If you want fast medicine go to an urgent care. You'll get your shot and leave but you might leave with your child having a heart murmur, severe ear infection you have to wait a day or so to see an ENT or someone who simply doesn't understand that nutrition is a serious part of medical health. I researched her background and I don't think you'll find anyone with greater knowledge and experience.



I have loved many of the pediatricians I have had over the years but none of them have ever spent the quality time and the hands-on medical care that dr sonia has.I give her 5 stars because when you have precious loved ones who are critically in need of help, it's so nice to get human voice answering the phone, help with getting referrals, and nutritional advice to possibly save your child from years of psychotropic medication. If it's a sweet kind personality with pretty wallpaper on the walls... you get that too. However, when the office is extremely busy with very sick children I don't expect daisies and roses I expect an excellent dr who does her best to find treatment for my child. Dr ruiz is a diamond in the rough!

Dr. Ruiz is a very good doctor. I moved to Florida 3 years ago and could not find a good pediatrician....I happen to ride by the Bloomingdale Pediatrics place and schedule an appointment and have no regrets....I can call on the spot and get an appointment with little to no wait. The staff there is really nice too....Both of my kids really love Dr. Ruiz. I would recommend her to everybody.

Lack of hygiene in the office, long waits, and a rude doctor that lacks good bedside manner MOST of the time. She looked at my 2 year olds eyes with some device for 30 seconds (which I did not ask her to do) and she billed me $300 for that "eye exam". They finally reduced it to $65 which was still unacceptable. They have no problem making you wait for 2 hours in a small dirty room to see the doctor.
