Our processes required long thin carbide punches. At the time 18" was the best anyone could do. Mr. Krebs worked with us and developed a process to make much longer punches at .375 Dia. 24" long with less than .003'" run out from end to end. This allowed us to double our out put on our equipment. This was a high production automotive application. These changes allowed us to increase our profit and cut our price to our customer. We tried s and they could not exceed the 1"length and could not hold anything near the .003" run out. We even developed a process to bend the finished carbide punch.
