First off I am only giving them a star, because I can not submit this without at least one.

M J Auto sold a vehicle to my family and I and they were very helpful in the sale; however later on down the road we discovered the rear brakes were installed wrong. This was found just in time, because I was taking it in for the front brakes to see why they wore out in 6 months. As I was pulling into the shop the rear wheel locked up, and when the mechanic pulled off the drum it was smoking! He explained to me that the shoes were on backwards and showed me that both rear brakes were done wrong and the shoes were moments away from falling apart from being severely cracked. The wheel could have caught on fire from the exceeded friction and locked up while I or my husband or I were driving it on the highway.

I contacted this business to calmly and rationally solve this problem, the manager told me they repaired the rear brakes as a favor to my family and since we did not pay them additionally for the work (besides what we paid for the vehicle) they did not owe us anything, and that this was just "human error" (since when is it okay to have human error on something that people trust their lives in everyday?)

I wanted to write this review so that others will think twice before buying from this dealer or anyone who has already will have their vehicle checked thoroughly for any "favors" they might have done you before you end up like us out of $700 and less trust or confidence in a local business than ever.
