Ventura Community Service Department offers a wide range of activities and programs for people of all ages. The department is responsible for providing a wide variety of programs, services and activities for city residents. The department serves the entire city of Ventura, Calif., as well as adjacent communities throughout Ventura County and Southern California. Ventura Community Services Department employs approximately 40 full time employees. The department s divisions include community recreation division, adult sports, aquatics, corporate games, nature and history school interpretive outreach programs, nature and history public programs, Westpark community center, youth programs and youth sports. Ventura Community Service Department s social services division includes the homeless services, community partnerships granting program and Ventura neighborhoods for learning project.
