We came for a quiet lunch, which was fine. The food is always nice, and we've been coming here, for years. Today, I brought a bottle of 2017 Franciscan Magnificat; however, due to allergies / meds, I discovered that I couldn't taste the wine. So, I asked a waitress if she would taste it and let me know if it was good; if not, I would order a bottle from them! Simple, right?

In an attempt to be helpful, she said she would ask Bobby, the owner, to taste it. All I wanted to know is if it was good, as I couldn't taste anything. The cost of ordering a bottle from them, or the $20 corkage fee, isn't an issue. I'm from San Francisco, where corkage fees approached $100 / bottle.

Imagine my shock when I heard Bobby say, "He brought his own wine? That's his problem!" Well, now his comment became HIS problem, as we will never come here, again. With the myriad of restaurants, there's no reason to come to Bobby's, anymore.

For lunch or for dinner, it's great food for a decent price. Soups are fantastic, steaks are awesome, burgers are best! The sports enthusiast will love the TVs at the bar, besides the food.
