ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, founded in 1971, is one of the largest nonprofit builder, owner and manager of continuing care retirement communities in the United States. ACTS offers senior citizens an independent lifestyle in private residences and nursing care and assisted living options, including medication administration, assistance with daily activities, such as bathing and dressing, meals and housekeeping services. It offers a wide variety of social, educational and recreational activities, scheduled transportation, respite care and day care services. The center is approved by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission and is a member of the Florida Association of Homes for the Aging. It has more than 18 retirement communities located in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
