For convience I shop at Young's market but after today I will no longer be a customer. Ever time I went to Young's I would take my young son with me and Terry the owner would always give him an apple which my son loved however today I went to Young's to buy some Carrot's and grapes and it was storming outside the young girl behind the counter who was extremely nice wrang our purchase up using my ebt card and as the purchase was being made the power flickered and the machine went off so no receipt was printed. When the clerk wrung the purchase again my ebt card read declined on the machine. I knew before I went into the store exactly how much was on my card when I called my card for balance they had taken the $6.78 from my card when we tried to tell Terry the owner this she called her card machine company to see if the transaction went through. At the same time she was calling her company I was on the phone with chase who has the contract for ebt telling me where she could hear that the transaction went through when I asked chase how to get a refund Terry proceeded to say oh my god its ebt I asked her then what did you say she proceeded to scream at me that I was not getting my food stamps back nor the produce and was told I needed to leave I asked chase if I should call the police at this time her merchant comes on line and says yes it did go through. At this time we are not given an apology and dismissed by terry so she can help a customer behind us. I will never shop at this store again due to the total lack of respect and discrimination against people who need food stamps in this day and age. People who use food stamps are not second rate citizens we are people who work have families and live everyday lives just like everyone else but apparently to Terry we should not complain since it is oh my god ebt. So thank you Terry owner of Young's market for a very distasteful shopping experience.

Youngs has a wide assortment of fresh produce at great prices. They also have a variety of canned goods, candies, beans & beverages. Definitely worth checking them out! My favorite veggie stop.
