Coating Place, Inc. is the world leader in Wurster fluid bed formulation development, technical transfer and commercial manufacturing. The original management with over 40 years of coating experience remains active in the development of formulations and new technology within the company. Formulation services include controlled delivery such as enteric, delayed, or sustained release systems. Other applications include moisture or oxygen barrier and taste masking. Services offered include bead layering, extrusion/spheronization, roller compaction, capsule filling, tablet compression and pan coating. Coating capabilities range from small particle coating to softgels, capsules and tablets. CPI operates a 185,000 ft2 facility located in Verona, Wisconsin, USA. Production suites are equipped with a range of Wurster fluid bed coating units that accommodate batch sizes ranging from 0.010 to over 600kg. The facility is permitted for a large amount of organic solvents. This allows formulations to be developed with either organic solvent, aqueous or hot melt coating processes. CPI is FDA registered and DEA licensed for Schedule II-V.
