Provided by YP.comWe took our car here because it kept stalling. He kept it a week and it just sat (I drive past there at least 4 times a day and saw it never moved). We kept calling and stopping in and he said he didn't know yet.
Finally after a week he had it ready, said it was also overheating (which was never an issue). He charged us 600 dollars (to include 5 hours of labor.. joke) and never fixed the issue.
These guys are scam artists and seem to spend their days ripping people off as they work on their own race cars that they are building.

Provided by YP.comBefore I even dropped the vehicle off for the diagnosis and repair, the owner / proprieter was sounding off over the telephone to me about...'not willing to fix repairs which other people have started..' or some other nonsense.
Really, how does an automotive repair shop even stay in business fixing vehicles - if they object to fixing other repairs?
Got some news for you...every vehicle after leaving the factory already has...'some other repairs' performed on it! That would be applicable on every used vehicle on the road today.
If this repair shop Woodford Transmission has an objection to repairing vehicles with others' repairs on them - then they might as well close their doors! How ridiculous is that?!

Provided by YP.comI took my sons car there to have them check a possible slip in the transmission. They did not seem very knowledgable and I regret going there. I spent $100 for them to drive it and tell me they didn't know what was wrong with it. I asked them if they used any diagnostic tools to see what they could find and they said all they had was a scanner. I may not be a mechanic but I know there is more to diagnosing a tranny problem than using a scanner to scan for code which I could have had done for free at Auto Zone. Don't waste your money here.

Provided by YP.comWe just had a bad experience with this shop and normally I wouldn't share, but I felt this needed to be public.
SUV taken to the shop that was running very rough and had misfire codes on the computer.
Previous week we'd changed cap, plugs and wires ourselves. No change.
Shop had this vehicle for 4 days before they really looked at it. I called 1x each day and they said they'd try to get to it that day. I had to give an alt # because cell phone needed replaced. I gave them the # when I had it replaced, but it's not on the ticket so when they say they called Fri evening, they must have called the wrong # & didn't write down the correct #.
Mechanic said it was most likely distributor cap and wanted to put a name brand cap on it. I told him all that stuff is new, and that I really felt it must be something else.
He insisted on a new cap and plugs and we'd go from there.
We decided to pick it up that afternoon instead.
mechanic charged us $150! They changed '1' spark plug that we couldn't get out, and then what? everything was a guess.
Mechanic said to take it out on the interstate and push it, see if that works it out. I decided it was running so badly the only place it needed to go was home.
We took it to another shop the next evening, and by the very next morning we had a real diagnosis that showed it was the injectors.
He said the injector and regulator are bad and causing the drivers side to not work properly. Gas is way too rich, and the new plugs on that side are already fried.
He asked if I had driven it much since it started running bad, and I told him no, only when I had too, and that was only a few times. He said good, because as much gas was going into the cylinders he'd heard of it causing a fire if driven on too much!
YIKES!
So... we paid $150 for nothing. We feel we were cheated by guesses when they had the vehicle for days, and said they worked on it for 2 hours. When the current shop had it less time, and spent less time looking at it and had a proper diagnosis.
Think if we had let them put on the new cap and plugs how much more $$ we'd have lost on it.
Mechanic refuses to refund some of the $$, and we will no longer refer people we know to them, and will not give them good reviews. Ridiculous. This could have messed our vehicle up more, and could have caused injury especially if I had listened and taken it for a joy ride on the interstate.
