Versailles Christian Church
105 W Ward St, Versailles, OH 45380
Versailles Christian Church History Versailles Christian Church was founded in January, 1818 in the home of William Hole. It was the express desire of the founding members to have an independent Bible-based Christian church in the community. In 1821 a log church was erected on the highest point of what is now known as Greenlawn Cemetery. In 1856 the church moved to its current location. The present facility was erected in 1921. Although changes have come during the years, the basic philosophy and beliefs have not. First, we believe the Bible to be God's inspired Word and in it is the Good News of God's love to save and change lives through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We also believe that our mission as individuals and as a church is to love people. The reason that we are growing is because there is a sense of 'family' within our congregation. Our congregation is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds that come together to learn about Christ and to serve his kingdom. VCC is here to serve its members, the community, and our world through practical and practicing Christianity.
