USDA's Charge Card Service Center would like to alert you to a new scam that has occurred with employees within USDA who have received phone calls from a fraudulent company, "Professional Business Publications" and then as an organization "International Credit Recovery." Please see details of the scam below.
The scam works like this:
"The sales calls come from a fraudulent company called "Professional Business Publications" and they try to sell you subscriptions to publications. After several months, they call you back under the name of "International Credit Recovery" stating that they are a collection agency for "Professional Business Publications" and that you had agreed to a publication subscription. When you indicate that you did not purchase a subscription, they tell you that you confirmed by giving them your date of birth (Month and Day only). If you still refuse to pay, they threaten you that your personal information will be submitted to the credit bureaus. The telephone numbers for "International Credit Recovery" are 607‐748‐5231 or 607‐748‐4686 or 607‐748‐1688.
A complaint has been filed re: this scam with the New York Attorney General's Office."
Please advise your cardholders of the following:
* Do not give out ANY personal information over the phone, the internet or the mail.
* If you think the request is valid you should always contact the bank yourself using the number on the back of your card and forward any suspicious emails or information of potential fraud to [email protected].
* If anyone ever gives out information they should immediately call US Bank Customer Service.
Please pass this on to your cardholders, coordinators and approving officials. By informing each other, we protect each other.

In cahoots with Progressive Business Publications.
We are not paying this scam. Publication that I never wanted, never received and was never invoiced for is now "in collection" with threat of $299 invoice bill plus collection fees of hundreds of dollars more.
Deserves its "F" rating from Better Business Bureau.

Please send your complaints about fraudulent conduct regarding International Credit Recovery Inc. and Progressive Business Publications to the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Econsumer.gov, the Better Business Bureau, and/or your local General Attorney's office.

This business should have a zero star rating! They should be out of bussiness PBP and ICR are working together to SCAM who ever will fall for their CRAP. Same story, Bobbie, from ICR called to collect on something we never asked for. Bobbie was rude, she yelled and insulted us, but would never provide us with proof of an invoice. Once we called PBP back to complain they said as a one time offer they would take all charges off of our account. I called Bobbie back to get their address to send in a complaint form, she verbally insulted me we had words and then I hung up. NO ONE should ever pay these companies!!!! If they ever contact you report them to BBB.
