Willow Point Nursing Home deserves 0 stars! The only stars I would give would go to the very small handful of staff who truly care about their patients, not to the facility. However, since this app will not accept this review unless I give a star rating I will rudingly give it 1. 90% of the direct care staff could care less about their patients and get no direction or proper training from the administration. They treat their patients like prisoners rather elderly people who deserve love, compassion and respect. If a patient or their family attempts to advocate for their human rights the patient is treated with great rudeness and disrespect until their spirit is broken and they begin to give up their will to live. When a patient asks to be taken to the bathroom or be given a urinal they are told "You're wearing a diaper aren't you? Use it!!" despite the fact that this patient has a doctor order to be toileted at periodic intervals. Patients are not frequently not allowed to lay down in their beds to nap or to get back up at dinner time if they choose to lay down for a nap.While talking with my father on the phone, I have witnessed hearing aides say to him "I TOLD YOU WE AREN'T GOING TO DO THIS UP & DOWN THING! YOU WANTED TO LAY DOWN, NOW YOU CAN STAY THERE! I'M NOT GETTING YOU UP FOR DINNER! YOU CAN EAT IT IN BED!" There is no thought, compassion or respect for a nonambulatory 80 year old man with spinal stenosis, arthritis and other debilitating diagnosis'.
