After having worked for Disabled Citizens Alliance for 2 years, I am shocked to find out that they are not under the jurisdiction of Fair Labor Laws. When I asked about recieving my check they replied that because they are a non profit organization they are not required to adhere to minimum wage, and they are allowed to withhold your paycheck as long as they wish. I would definitely not reccomend employment with this company. I was supposed to be paid a week ago. Now I don't have the means to provide the disabled person I am supposed to take care of with the things he needs. He is the real one they are hurting, the one they are supposed to be dedicated to protecting.
