Founded in 1983, the Victoria County Sheriff's Office employs more than 150 officers. The agency provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. It operates civil, warrants, patrol, training and dispatch divisions. It has a detention facility that houses more than 500 inmates. The Victoria County Sheriff's Office also operates an investigations division that conducts investigations, gathers evidence and interviews suspects, victims and witnesses. The agency intervenes in cases of theft, burglary, robbery, homicide, murder, sexual assault and narcotics trafficking. In addition, it operates a records division that processes and manages criminal records and arrest search warrants. The agency responds to emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The Victoria County Sheriff's Office is located in Victoria, Texas.
