The Mirror Lake Academy child care day care programs for students aged 6 weeks to 12 years combine education and safety with wellness, including daily fitness activities, nutritious menus, and athletics. Location & Hours: Founded in 2004, Mirror Lake Academy is a proud member of The Bridge Learning Centers family of child care schools. We service Douglas County and Carroll County schools in and around Douglasville and Villa Rica, GA, Mondays-Fridays 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Our early open morning and late evening hours offer convenient options for working families. Safety: Our students play and learn in our safe and secure environment with coded front doors, time/identity stamps, and biometric fingerprint check-in as well as closed-circuit monitoring in the classrooms. As part of our open-door policy, we encourage our parents to contact us with concerns and regularly visit classrooms. Focus on Wellness: Students learn active, healthy habits as part of our physical education classes and athletics program (featuring t-ball, football, basketball, and soccer). On most days of the year, our students play outdoors, making full use of our state-of-the-art playground and outdoor shaded facilities. They also enjoy delicious, balanced breakfast, lunch, and snacks as they learn about their health and making good food choices. Infant, Toddler & Preschool Program: Our challenging curricula encourages creative expression, play, imagination, and exploration in our infant child care center, toddler daycare programs, childcare for 2 year olds, and preschool programs for 3 year olds. Our Georgia funded Pre K program provides an excellent head start for 4 year olds as they prepare for kindergarten. The rigorous standards of our preschool curricula exceed Georgia state guidelines. Our infant through preschool program is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. School-aged Program: Students enrolled in neighboring Douglas County and Carroll County elementary schools join us for our before-school and after-school programs as well as kids summer camps. Summer Day Camp: Field trips, community service projects, and themed activities are the highlight of our popular summer camps for kids program. Teachers and Staff: Mirror Lake Academy has two center directors on site every day. Our experienced teachers have CDA certification or higher and receive professional development training every year. They work hard to engage our students with enthusiasm and energy. All of our staff are trained in CPR and first aid.
