Owner Danny is a gem. Old fashioned value oriented shopkeeper who provides a central hub for the community & a small regional store with general basics, some specialty items, camping & fishing & river equipment (Villanueva State Park is nearby & open year round), some local items, chile, cold drinks, frozen & packaged provisions, pet supplies, ice & local produce & eggs when available. The store also houses a small deli & local specials: including chile, burritos, tamales, tostadas available hot ready to eat or to take with you. Fresh grilled hot dogs with the fixings are occasionally available. Pizza is also available & can be heated in a special pizza oven. Hot percolator coffee is available daily. Of special note is an old fashioned ice cream machine which makes fresh soft serve ice cream and soft serve yogurt. Special food items can be requested & ordered. Additionally the store houses an ATM & propane exchange service. Hours are consistent & Villanueva General Store is open 7 days a week. A blessing for the local community & campers as the nearest other services in Las Vegas or Santa Fe are 45 to 90 minutes driving time on winding road & Interstate.
An interesting & cherished central hub in Villanueva. A Christian based store. Store is directly across from the historic village Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Store maybe closed 11-12:30 on Sundays (Church Service hours).
A great regional store located directly on NM Highway 3 in the Spanish Colonial & American Territorial village of Villanueva. Wonderful & convenient stopping place. Very friendly atmosphere. Customer service with a smile & cheerful ambiance in a family owned small convenience store.

A great place to shop. A family owned business. Danny, the owner, is a wonderful Christian man who loves helping people to the best of his God-given abilities.

His store has a great variety of "general store" items, at fair prices. He and I have had wonderful conversations when business is not wall-to-wall. He has improvements going on that will benefit not so much the store, but the community as well.

I'm so happy to be a customer and a friend of Danny's and I wish him all the success that God has in "store" for him.
