I was reading the Shoppe this week and found ads that I find very disturbing to me. It appears that the Shoppe does not care what type of business advertises in their paper or what the ads read as long as they get paid. For several years, Seagars, located in Rio Grand has been offering the largest collection of cigars in Cape May County. A year ago or so Seagars began offering e-cigs and e- liquid within this retail cigar store. Almost across the street is a gas station at the intersection of 47 and route 9. Not only is this a gas station it is also named Luigi's Pizza and now Rio Vape. This store not only sells vapes that are knock offs that are sold as brand names at prices that are equal to the wholesale price of the real product. Rio Vape is known for selling products to minors and has a large collection of drug paraphernalia for sale to anyone who has money. Their business seams to have the same business scruples as the Shoppe. Why, this weeks advertisement for Rio Vape has a statement which reads "Don't Get Ripped Off by the people who only know how to sell Cigars". First, the Shoppe allowing an advertiser to make this statement is one thing, but to all this type of ad that is directed to an existing advertiser is offensive to everyone who has an ad in the Shoppe. If they will allow one advertisers to make these types of remarks such as this shows that the Shoppe's business standards are as low as the business making the statement. As a result of this action by the Shoppe, I am pulling all my ads and refuse to advertise in this Shopping guild again. To all Advertisers in the Shoppe, be aware that one of your competitors may choose to make disparaging remarks about your business and will be supported by the Shoppe as long as you pay the overpriced advertising fee they request. Business people of Cape May County, I suggest that you find another paper to advertise in with a paper that understands that this type of advertising is offensive and uncalled for,
