I was very unhappy with the service I was given. We had a dog that kept getting sick. Over the course of 7 months and several vet visits, we kept getting told the same thing. Had blood work, urinalysis and xrays done. Was told nothing is wrong, your dog is just getting old. After 7 months we decided to switch vets. Found out for starters he had a bad UTI and his white blood cell count was over 25 (which high normal is 15). After seeing the results that Dr Wilson did a month prior to our switch, the blood work was exactly the same. After several more specialized tests and an ultrasound, we found out he had a 4" intestinal tumor. We chose to do surgery and have it removed. The biopsy results confirmed it was cancer and it had spread to his lymph nodes. He lived 2 wonderful months (he acted better than he had in well over a year) after his surgery. The cancer spread and caused internal bleeding. At this point we had no choice but to put him down. I just wish I would've switched vets sooner.

Doc Wilson is the absolute best! He is very thorough is explaining difficult situations, lab results, etc., admitting if he does not know something, but then goes to look it up. I have entrusted my entire back of Siberian huskies to him, along with all my cats. He has helped us deal with some impossible illness situations & has been very helpful, cooperative, informative & more than fair.



Someone said she was charged for shots her pups did not receive. IF that is true, she should have taken her receipt back to the office, not just a phone call, but actually walk into the office with the receipt. If there was an error made, Doc would quickly fix that problem. To us, Clyde Wilson is practically a member of our family.

i just took my two 9 week old pitbull puppies there today and the vet there charged me for two shots that he didnt even give them. My fiance didnt realize this until we were wonder where their rabies tags were and we call him back and he said he didnt give them their rabies shots. i got charged $60 for something they didnt even recive. I am going to be taking them to my older dogs vet here in my home town of cedar rapids.

NEXT BEST VET IN THE TOWN OF VINTON, IOWA. (AFTER DOC CORBETT THAT IS. :>)

DOC. WILSON ALWAYS MAKES SURE HIS PATIENTS GETS EVERYTHING IT NEEDS & NEVER WHAT IT DOESN'T.

HE IS ALSO VERY INTENTIVE TO HIS PATIENTS & THEIR OWNERS FEELINGS & TREATS THEM EXACTLY AS HE KNOWS THEY NEED, AND/OR EVEN THEY WANT TO BE TREATED AT THAT VERY MOMENT, RIGHT DOWN TO A PUPPY, AND/OR KITTY HUG, A QUICK RUFFLE OF AN EAR, OR PAT ON THE HEAD, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST.

WHEN & IF AN EMERGENCY SHOULD ARISE WITH A PET AND A CALL IS RECIEVED, OR EVEN IF IT JUST COMES THROUGH HIS DOOR, HE WILL IMMEDIATLY STOP WHAT HE'S DOING, (IF AT ALL POSSIBLE) & ATTEND TO THE EMERGENCY AT HAND, THE WHOLE TIME MAKING SURE TO CONSOLE HIS PATIENT'S OWNER/OWNERS, BY TALKING THEM THROUGH THE CRISIS AT HAND & REASSURING THEM EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT & SAYS, "JUST LIKE KIDS, THE SITUATION ALWAYS LOOKS WORSE THAN IT REALLY IS" MAKING SURE TO ADD IN A LOWER TONE ALMOST TO THE POINT OF BEING INAUDIBLE BY HIS PATIENTS OWNER/OWNERS, "MOST OF THE TIME ANYWAY, & LET'S HOPE THIS IS ONE OF THEM."

WON'T FIND A BETTER, OR KINDER, SMALL ANIMAL VET THIS SIDE OF BENTON COUNTY, NOR THE OTHER SIDE NIETHER THAT'S FOR SURE, (AFTER DOC CORBETT THAT IS :>)

DOC WILSON IS A WONDERFUL & MUCH NEEDED ASSET, (FOR A HUMANS BEST FRIENDS & COMPANION) TO OUR COMMUNITY AND THE CITY OF VINTON!!
