I was forced to declaw my cat - he was terrorizing my home and the last straw was the scars left on my feet and legs and then him scratching my 3 year old. Since his aggressive behavior was playful behavior and he wasn't aware that he was doing harm, I felt I was left with no other option as we did not want to rehome him. I went to Kempsville Vet and he was left for an overnight stay. The vet was forewarned about him being aggressive and that he was very skittish when on the medication for anesthesia. The following day they advised me when I went to pick him up that he freaked out when they tried to put him in his crate, but they shoved him in anyways which caused him to swat at them and try to get out of the crate and rip all the sutures out his paws and there was blood EVERYWHERE! They promised me they would not put him back in that crate and that I could pick him up the next day and carry him out... the next day he was back in the crate - I WILL NEVER TAKE ANY ANIMAL THERE AGAIN!
