This place is where I was going to go to get a check up. They want a picture ID, other papers, and $55.00, money that everyone does not have and your insurance card.

This location has a supervising doctor who may never see you. Your care will be managed by a Physician's Assistant, L. Gillis. Went there with neurological symptoms. But since the PA insisted the problem was structural, the Dr., who never examined me prescribed Nexium and told me they would send me to Charlottesville where I could swallow a camera that would show what was wrong with my stomach. I didn't go to medical school, but even I know that neurological problems originate in the brain... Also, do you think I might know if I had acid reflux?? Only go there if you already know what's wrong with you and you know what to do about it. Then be insistent on the help you know you need. Otherwise, go to the nearest emergency room. I should point out that federal funds support this place. I fear we can expect more of this kind of incompetence as health care reform is implemented.

This place is AWFUL!! If you have an urgent situation and you need to speak to your doctor (or their nurse) forget about it. The receptionist will answer the phone by placing you on hold for ten minutes. Then when you ask to speak to someone - it's urgent - you get sent to an answering machine. No one will return your calls even after you repeatedly leave messages. I know for a fact that important exam results were sent to this office some time ago ( I was told by the clinic who did my exam and they even re-faxed the info to them several more times) However, the staff swears they recieved no such information and that they will just let me know something eventually. This place is a joke! They have had me so frusterated and desperate for information to being on the verge of tears. Please do not ever visist this place - they do not care a thing about their patients!

I was VERY pleased with my visit. I was seen promptly and Nurse Practitioner Lauren Gillis was very attentive and thorough. She listened to me and I could tell she takes healing seriously. I felt she really cared about my issue/needs and she promised to follow through on finding what has caused me yrs of chronic back pain. She made me feel hopeful. I may live a normal life again one day because I wasn't rushed in and out like a bothersome patient. I was taken seriously by someone who likes what they do. Thank you sincerely for helping me!

Virginia Beach Family Medical Center in Virginia Beach VA is filled with Unethical Practices by Staff Members. They make up excuses when they failed to do their Jobs, and your Health is not the upmost importance to their Staff or to their Physicians there. Their Rudeness and Treatment of their patients in unexceptable, and their pratices of Releasing Life Saving Medications, is a treat to ones life, when your life depends upon it !I would never return to this location, even if I was dying tomorrow !!!!
