The move was a good experience. They were fast, hard-working & nice. That ended the next morning when a COX Tech installed our service & turned on one of our TVs. The screen was cracked behind the glass (why it wasn't seen until TV was turned on). I called Marlon & left VM. He called back & immediately went into a loud, rude rant asking how'd they know we didn't switch TVs & complain about one already broken. He said they wrapped all of our TVs & it was impossible they broke it & they were coming to get the TV & have it examined to see if it was broke prior to the move. Though disappointed we weren't angry as it's not our only TV. I couldn't talk due to his fast talking, loud voice. Then his wife came on & more of the same. I said I'm sure it was an accident & TV was fine that morning before move & they were only ones to touch it after that until that morning. How could it be our fault? She's also a fast talker & just as rude as him. She said lesson learned & from now on they'd cut TVs on prior to leaving. I said good idea & I wish they'd done that with us. I also said imagine my frustration when my husband & I realized neither of us were given a receipt. I thought he had, he thought I had. In hindsite it makes us wonder & I'll just leave that right there. The call ended with her saying have a nice day & hanging up. My niece & her fiance were stunned as was I. If you want movers that are punctual, hard-working & friendly call Small Jobs & Moving & Etc. but pray nothing gets broken. Thank God it was just a TV & not my grandmother's antiques. After the call I texted Marlon that we didn't want them coming to our home, that we were capable of replacing our TV & would.

This is for the comment made by Terri C. When we got to the house it was bigger and had more items then what we discussed on top of that they had pieces that required us to have 4-5 people which they clearly left out. The husband was very polite the moment we got their but Terri gave us Hell the moment we got in her house not to mention gave her parents hell too and was fussing at them like kids and they told us out there own mouths that they wish they where still on vaction cause shes to much. To top it off it was a $3000 job that she was trying to get for at first $650 cause we did a quote over the phone and what was told to us over the phone wasn't even half the stuff they had not to mention the garage full of stuff on top of everything in the house and outside stuff too also a frog room on top of the 4 bedrooms we only knew about and not to mention we ask about bringing a third person and they said two people can handle it but if we want to make it fast but they had pool tables and a piece that weighted over 500 Ibs so how could only 2 people hadle that and to mention again we asked about a 3rd person. Yes the price had to change due to the nature of the job and we brought a 26ft and they needed a tractor trailer. We loaded the whole truck from top to bottom and brought everything bown from upstairs and put it downstairs what ever couldnt fit on the truck. Her parents and husband gave us compliments the whole time. We loaded her storage very good their wasnt anything threw around at all we definitely dont conduct business like that at all. Her husband was amazed we got all the stuff in the storage with enough room for more items. As a company we have to protect ourselves from nasty and lying customers cause customers are not always right and will lie alot to businesses to get a good price and then lie on the business when stuff doesnt go their way. This is a case of that and fill with alot of lies and this lady is a lawyer so it explains alot with her lying!

Marlin gave my husband a flat rate of $500 over the phone. My husband said "we have a 4 bedroom, 2700 sq ft home, with a pool table and heavy dining room table". He asked how many people they would be bringing, Marlin said 2, he asked how much more for more people, Marlin said $650 for 3. They arrived 30 minutes late. The wife and husband (Marlin) walked in our home. I had typed up a statement for them to sign, because there was no contract. Marlin's wife started walking around saying "oh no this ain't gonna be no $650 job, you gotta know dat", I told her to walk through and give me a price. He husband stated $1000, she said no, $1100. I drew a line through $650, put $1100 and we signed. They loaded the truck, after they put 2 very heavy and expensive pieces, (pool table slate and large thick glass top to dining room table) they brought me something to sign saying they couldn't be responsible for breakage during transport. The statement they signed said they were bonded and insured. Unfortunately, these things were already loaded, why didn't they state their concern during the walk through? Once the truck was fully loaded, his wife comes to me and states "ya know this is gonna take more than one trip, ain't no way that would all fit on one truck, and that's going to be more money". She was told by me, that she was suppose to be the professional, the one that had done this before, therefore when she did the walk through she should have known that and factored that into the final cost!" It got even uglier. Her husband told me because of "my sketchy attitude" they wouldn't unload until we paid them $1100 in cash. I said I would pay them half when they got to the storage unit, and the rest when it was done. They threatened to hold all my stuff on the truck. They rec'd $1100, my stuff was thrown into storage, and I had to have police presence at the site. They planned a bait and switch. They weren't gonna get any more money, so job wasn't completed.
