Provided by YP.comThe staff at this center (not the physicians), in Visalia, were great from my experience, and they seem to be constantly busy trying to manage patient appointments in the face of overbooking due to LAGS philosophy of monetary gain to the detriment of patient care. I felt bad for the staff who were running around trying to attend to patient needs with substandard resources. From my experience over six months, patients are treated more like cattle to make the most money possible. I was told that about an average of 80 patients are ran through in a day with two physicians in a building that used to be used as holding cells for criminals. Yesterday, I went to my appointment, and the physician made false assertions about me which stated that I refused physical therapy and chiropractor treatment, and that I couldn't have my pain management adjusted for that reason. This was patently false as I had to inform him/her that I had went through physical therapy, chiropractor treatment, MRI, etc. The list goes on. In other words, do not expect genuine pain management, or sincere care, since most of the patients are just another dollar sign. Additionally, I developed an intestinal bleed from the "by the numbers" medication list that resulted in a blood transfusion. The physician's response to this was "oh," and simply dismissed the problem as not his/her problem. Ethical treatment in this facility is a mirage for the most part. Maybe you might get lucky and experience better results, but from my experience they (the physicians) don't genuinely care unless it results in more revenue. Additionally, after I told the physician that I had already had all of the tests that he said I refused, that I would have to receive acupuncture before he would consider any adjustment to my pain management. In conclusion, how can a physician at this LAGS facility actually care or know what kind of treatment you need if they see you for 5 minutes without even examining you, but simply ask what your pain level is from 1 to 10? All of the paperwork that you had to fill out (I filled out dozens) were not even looked at by the physicians, otherwise they would know what kind of treatment would be most effective for your case. Instead it seems as if they use a checklist with the precarious promise that you will eventually be pain free as you or your health insurance guarantee several hundred dollars for 5 minutes of work.
