When we had our home built, the builder of our subdivision would not allow us to have any decision whatsoever in landscaping our front yard. It was landscaped with dull boring cookie cutter plants and shrubs and inadequate irrigation and absolutely no drainage. After eleven years the landscape had become horribly overgrown and unmanageable and we began looking for a landscape contractor to totally remodel our front yard. We received bids from three contractors for the work we wanted done.



Mike Perez with Work of Art Landscaping spent a few hours with us discussing the work we wanted done and offering his suggestions. He incorporated the mountain woodsy look from our backyard to our front and came up with a detailed plan using lighting, rocks, a fountain, flagstone, trees, shrubs and flowers. His presentation was so beautiful and impressive, it made our choice of contractors easy and we were definitely not disappointed. Art Perez placement of rocks, the balance of trees and shrubs, colors and textures of different plants and light placement is a true art form. They worked within our budget and their attention to detail and pride of workmanship extended to their crew who were extremely hard working and professional.

We are so pleased with the landscaping job that you did in our front and back yards. The lighting and water features in both areas are amazing. Your selection of trees, plants and boulders are exactly what we had in mind—even more than we had hoped. It's as if you took a section from the Sequoia National Forest and placed it right in our backyard. The cement work and overhang are absolutely beautiful and very functional. Work of Art Landscaping did a complete remodel of the backyard for my mother, with whom we share the home. She has always wanted to have a larger patio and more flowers and trees to work with. The crew of WOA did a wonderful job of creating a beautiful design and then set about executing this design. This is a beautiful and lasting memory to her late husband since many of the plants and trees that they had planted in the backyard before the landscaping was saved and replanted, and a grapevine the had been planted by him was able to be saved as well. The crew was very patience and understanding in how they did the work and with my mother. She now spend hours each day in this new, beautiful and expertly landscaped backyard, tending her flowers and trees and arranging the patio furniture. Thanks to the crew of WOA, and to Michael who drew the plans, and Art and Jessie and the rest of the crew who worked on the project. We were looking for someone to redesign both our front yard and back yard landscaping for us, and a friend referred us to Work of Art. We requested an appointment for a bid from WOA as well as another local landscape company. WOA responded very quickly to our request and was able to meet with us within just a few days of our request. The other company took an excessive amount of time to respond, had to reschedule several times, and even failed to show up at our scheduled time. WOA has been extremely professional through every aspect of our project. Their extensive knowledge and expertise in their field was obvious. It was a pleasure having their workers at our home. They were always neat and kept everything clean and organized. As to be expected with just about any project, of this size and duration we experienced a couple of very minor glitches along the way. WOA made every effort to make things right and made sure that we were happy.

Art and Michael made sure that the work performed at our home met their standards -- meaning everything had to be quality work, or it got redone. They did not compromise. Their attention to every detail resulted in a beautiful outdoor extension of my home. I knew it was going to look nice, but the outcome far exceeded my expectations.

I now use WOA to maintain my yard, and am pleased with their work in this area as well. I would (and have) recommended them to anyone who is seeking quality landscaping services.

The crew worked very hard and the supervisor was always available to answer my questions and even threw in stuff for free. Everything has grown in abundantly and it is a great place to entertain my family and friends. the crew that did our landscaping did a good job. We also contracted to have a waterfeature repaired. After a week the pump quit working and Design by Art refused to make good on his work without charging additional labor and walked off the job.
