Horrible experience. Will deffinitely will not go back. Very very understaffed. Staff was very un-professional, unpleasant & no greeting/customer services. Spoke to the manager, apparently he was the one taking people to their seats, placing orders, taking calls, & ringing people out. The one that made us wait when there were plenty of tables available. Very long wait for seat, only 2 waitress that evening...very long wait for menu & drinks....even longer wait for ordering & food to arrive. The food was not all that good. My babe could cook equivalent. All this raving of the food...is fake, if I didn't know any better I'd think Zen's staff were writing all these reviews. Don't go here unless u have a lot of time to waste.

You know I really tried to like this place so I gave it two tries, the second time was even worse the prices are higher than other asian restaurants and the portions are horrible, if they are going to charge more atleast up the portions. I know asian food and theres nothing special about this one. If your thinking about going here I would pass.

The most amazing bbq pork chow mein!! Perfect amount of crisp snappy veg's mixed in cooked perfectly couldn't get enough! Plan to go back many many more times!

Visalia Zen Restaurant is great place to eat whether you have an hour for lunch (fast service) or to gather for a family outing and visit.

The atmosphere and lighting is excellent. Feels like lots of natural light comes into the restaurant while you dine. The decorations are very tasteful and not to overwhelming. I was greeted by a host and was allowed to sit where I liked. Very friendly, the waitress would check on me enough to where I didn’t feel a rush to leave, but attentive enough to give me what I needed.

Prices are reasonable, the type of food is not greasy and presented well, unlike other restaurants. I suggest you try Zen for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
