very basic, cut-above-a-coffee-house restaurant. the food is passable, the service often approaches passable. as a local resident, my biggest complaint though is their lack of interest in local patronage. i have been sent away a few times, showing up when they had tour buses to deal with (that is another complaint - volcano village is not set up to accommodate the number of buses that arrive there every day). kilauea lodge has better food, ohia cafe has better service...there is an excellent thai food place and another restaurant opening near the post office soon. too many good options in volcano to waste time on this establishment.
