Brazos Business Machines
3723 Franklin Ave, Waco, TX 76710
Alan Wood, the owner of Brazos Business Machines has been living in Waco since 1970. He has been in the copier business for 35 years. Alan Wood worked for the NCR Corporation for 23 years before starting his own business. In 1975, he expanded to four companies located in Bryan, Waco, Austin and San Antonio; they were all known as BBM Incorporated. At that time, he had about 37 people working for him. Even though it was a small number, the people were reliable and it worked out. Wood ran all four of these companies simultaneously and found himself traveling back and forth to run them. Eventually, he sold off the ones in Bryan, Austin and San Antonio and started working from Waco BBM.
