I took my Schnauzer to Petco about three years ago and couldn't believe how she looked. All four legs were different and one even had about a three inch piece of hair where it wasn't cut. I complained to the groomer and the store manager but they just looked at me like the inept people they were. Even though I understand there are different groomers, I WILL NOT take my dog back.

The store for the most part is fine, however the Grooming Salon is ANOTHER STORY!!!

They butchered my Champion Minature Schnauzer! She came out looking like a scraggly stray! Hair all uneven - none of her legs were cut the same, one eyebrow was 1/3" longer than the other! I was hot - but kept my cool, and told them that was NOT a Schnauzer cut, and the lady in charge of the salon said she thought it looked just great!

I used to groom dogs and I know better. I have carpal tunnel in my wrists and cannot do it myself anymore. And I cannot find anyone who can do a DECENT job! The store refused to refund my money - they make you pay BEFORE you get to see your dog.
