Wading River Elementary provides a variety of learning opportunities and extracurricular activities for students. Its building has more than 25 classrooms. The school serves over 400 students in grades one through five. Wading River Elementary s academic curriculum includes classes in math, art, speech, reading and physical education. The school has a library that offers a range of educational and learning print and electronic resources. It also maintains a computer laboratory, as well as a full-size elementary gymnasium. Wading River Elementary has a parent-teacher organization. The school is governed by the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District, which additionally manages Shoreham-Wading River High School, Prodell Middle School, Miller Avenue School and Briarcliff Elementary.
