Worst customer service I've ever received. I'm on my honeymoon buying nail polish remover to remove gel nail polish (only acetone remover will work). They didn't believe me I wasn't from the USA and because I didn't provide a US drivers licence they refused service. I'm Australian and Canadian and even provided my learners permit from Australia, but he wouldn't accept it. When I said I wasn't American the guy behind me said "I wasn't the first person to think of that one". Both him and the male cashier continued to talk about how "people like me use it for personal amounts of meth."



I don't do drugs! I was on my honeymoon, I just wanted to remove this really strong nail polish off my nails, and there wasn't a nail salon in the town we were staying in Paia. I have never been so insulted, shocked and caught off guard in my life. I am back home now where I live in Sweden but this experience almost nearly ruined the last week of my honeymoon, it made me so upset. The experience still makes my skin crawl.



To anyone traveling to Hawai'i, make sure you have a plan for your nails, and don't be surprised if they ID you for nail polish, if they don't accept your foreign ID, then talk to the manager and don't do what I did and give up and walk away shocked and insulted.



One of the worst experiences in my life.
