We were so pleased with the entire day...from the woman who did my hair and make-up to the photographer, the location, the package deal, the ceremony, and of course Captain Howie. The garden is stunningly beautiful and truly embraces the Hawaiian scene. We would highly recommend Above Heaven's Gate for anyone who wants an unforgettable day in a beautiful setting. So glad we found this place.

Rick and I were married at Above Heaven's Gate on July 3, 2012, and we were thrilled with our ceremony from beginning to end. Captain Howie and his staff have taken away the headaches of planning a wedding, and each person on his staff, including Captain Howie himself, is personally involved in the planning process. With a few telephones calls or emails and a few clicks of buttons on their website, everything was set. The morning of our wedding, Captain Howie met us at the entrance gate to his property, which is a little taste of Heaven on Earth. The pictures on Above Heaven's Gate website DO NOT do justice to this paradise. Beauty abounds from everywhere. The Hobbit House, Angel Bay Beach, the cabana, the koi ponds, or Pukalani Falls at Above Heaven's Gate are the perfect locations for any couple seeking a special destination wedding. There are no words that can describe how special Captain Howie, his staff, and Above Heaven's Gate is to Rick and myself. We will never forget our special day with these special people!!!

As I sit here at work in the “after-glow” of our special day of renewing our wedding vows in Hawaii after 39 years of marriage, I wanted to let you know how much the entire experience meant to Randy and me. Getting married in Hawaii is every girl's dream. We had a wonderful experience from the pre-planning phone call on the mainland until we hugged everyone goodbye at the end of our special day.



You made us feel at home in your beautiful tropical setting at Pukalani Falls Garden, and you genuinely connected with us in our consultation and ceremony. We were touched by everyone’s sincerity, and Capt. Howie’s insight that was evident in the words he spoke and attention he paid to the details of the service.



From the pampering of my hair and makeup to the professionalism of the photographer, to the sentiment of the service, it was a day that we will never forget. Thank you for being our Waikiki wedding planners.

We just wanted to send a note to express our thanks for the wonderful experience we had with our wedding at Above Heaven’s Gate. From the minute we began searching for the right Oahu or Waikiki wedding planner to get married in Hawaii and found your website, we were immediately excited. We continued to look a little more, not wanting to

settle until we had looked at all our options, but couldn’t find anything other than you folks that intrigued us. We made the call, spoke with Jodi, and again, immediately felt a connection. We set the date, and never worried about it again until it was time to select our flowers and our photo package.



We arrived in Hawaii the day before we got married. Chrissy called and verified I knew how to get our location at Pukalani Falls Gardens and provide directions. We arrived at

the Hobbit house in time to have Wade apply my makeup and style my hair. Captain Howie’s wife, Deva, checked in on us regularly. We met Jodie, Chrissy, & Captain Howie, & your beautiful parrot Rueben.



Then it was off with Fernando for pictures. I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our day at your amazingly beautiful place. I smiled, laughed, and cried the whole day. From the minute we arrived we were comfortable and felt we were amongst family or long time friends. Everyone was wonderful. We want to thank each and every one of you. Jodie, I enjoyed talking with you about back home where you once lived and still have family. Chrissy, thank you for your restaurant suggestion at Haleiwa Joe’s. We enjoyed a breathtaking drive and an excellent meal. Fernando, the pictures are beautiful and you are a wealth of knowledge on all topics. Wade, thank you for making me look and feel

pretty. I thought of you when we went and tried some pineapple wine at Tedeschi Vineyards in Maui. Capt. Howie, you touched our hearts with your deep inspiration. Based on the length of time you blew into the conch shell I know we will enjoy a long life and marriage together!

Mahalo for planning our Hawaii wedding day. Everything was as we had envisioned and more. We just received the photos that Fernando took and they are fantastic! It was wonderful to see the electronic photo album set to Hawaiian music and to hear Captain Howie’s words again (you were right – we couldn’t remember much of what was said that day)!



Wade did a fabulous make up job on the bride and maid of honor – we nicknamed him “The Magician” – he made us look and feel so beautiful while entertaining us all the while!



Chrissy and Jody – you make a great crew and your attention to detail was greatly appreciated! You are great Hawaii weddings planners. The plumerias we ordered for the bridal bouquet, and the lei for the groom and cake top were spectacular!



Captain Howie’s words were heartfelt and we are already talking about renewing our vows at Above Heaven’s Gate.! As a side note of “small world” stories – when we flew back from Honolulu after our 9 day honeymoon on the Big Island we sat right next to one of Captain Howie’s friends – a man named Rick Edwards – what are the odds of that?? Also, thank you for suggesting Patrick Ching’s gallery when we asked about a local art gallery – we bought a beautiful painting of Waimanalo Beach that is so special to us!

We cannot stop thinking about our Hawaii wedding. It was exactly as we had envisioned for our waterfall and beach ceremony. Our sunset wedding at Pirates Cove could not have been more perfect. Rev Rich was there to meet us with photographer and videographer. It rained in Honolulu and the sun was bright and beautiful at the beautiful Pirates Cove beach! The pictures and DVD are perfect as well as the wedding ceremony! Rev Rich’s analogy of storms on a boat in the ocean to storms in a marriage was great- how one needs to “batten down the hatches” and be strong in the storms! The Hawaiian blessing was also wonderful. And let’s not forget the cake- we had the Passion Fruit and it was one of the best cakes ever eaten! The flowers too were beautiful.
