Provided by YP.comThis vet is all about the almighty dollar. Extremely HIGH prices! NO COMPASSION!
We had the last appt. of the evening, 7:30pm and my husband, myself and our beloved Siamese cat, were rushed and pushed out the door. Actually we picked up our cat and walked out! Thank God! The vet that saw him wAs the most uncompassionate vet I'ver ever dealt with. He just wanted to go home because it was now ten minutes past eight and they were closing.....
He got annoyed that we even asked for a few minutes to sit in the waiting area to make one of the toughest decisions a pet owner has to make. He man-handled our cat and I will repeat myself, he was all about the money!
We were smart enough not to let him touch our boy again, picked him up and left.....We took him to another vet in Billerica, MA and so far, they have done ten times more tests for a tenth of the price VCA quoted us, and hopefully our baby boy(of 19 yrs) is well on his way to getting better....
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE......DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comUnfortunately, I've shown up at VCA Wakefield more times than I can count, and they always fit me in no matter how busy they are.
When I was looking for a vet, I asked people walking their dogs around the lake where they went, and every one of them said this is the best vet around. I've seen all of their vets at one point or another, and they're so nice. The staff always calls to remind me about appointments and to follow up after appointments. My dogs like them, too!

Provided by YP.comVCA Wakefield is a veterinary practice that is committed to helping animal rescue organizations, both financially and in the services provided. The entire staff is compassionate and the doctors, nurses and client care specialists go out of their way to care for these, and all, animals. As a person deeply involved in animal rescue, I have found no other practice more committed to our dogs.
My personal pets are patients at VCA Wakefield and receive quality care. Clients are never turned away and I have been there well after closing time while animals are being treated. Clients of other practices are seen when an appointment is not available with their own vet. The quality of the medicine is excellent and referrals are made to specialists when further expertise is required.
I recommend VCA Wakefield for dogs, cats and exotics. It is coveniently located and their hours are great.
