Hands in Harmony, LLC was formed by Nicole O’Malley, MT-BC NMT in 2003 due to a steady increase in demand of music therapy services throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. We offer music therapy services by board certified music therapists to a variety of clientele. Hands in Harmony currently staffs three music therapists in a multitude of facilities across Rhode Island and Massachusetts including early intervention, school systems, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and home based serves. Our company is currently the only facility in Rhode Island offering Neurologic Music Therapy. Hands in Harmony offers music therapy services both on site (at our clinic in the South County Commons) as well as off site. Hands in Harmony offers enrichment groups in music therapy, creative movement, art, general music, and sign language. Hands in Harmony plans to expand, offering a variety of services, primarily focusing on a consortium of therapists, over the next five (5) years. Hands in Harmony looks to add a compilation/assortment of specialists (starting with a solid therapy team working independently as well as collaboratively). Specialists include but are not limited to art therapy, dance therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, various counseling services, hippotherapy/therapeutic riding, educational services/tutoring (including private music, art, dance lessons/groups), medical services and support groups, sign language classes/groups, and massage therapy. Offering all services in one facility allows for an increase in collaboration amongst therapists, improving overall patient/client treatment and care. The mission of Hands in Harmony is to increase access and awareness of music therapy services throughout RI. Hands in Harmony strives to maximize the greatest potential of all clients we service. We collaborate closely with other disciplines to individualize and optimize the overall well-being of every client we service. We are striving to offer multiple therapeutic services to a variety of clientele (and families) in one center.
